Finally a bit of shop time to clean up and put things away- make room for progress. Does that mean I am going to make any of you truck parts? Hell no- I’m going to fix my own cruiser!

It should be my 60 in the pic... next time.
Now that I'm not using all my spare time to make parts for you all- I should have time (and money) to fix it.

So- Two things:

a. The (stupid high) price for WagonGear parts now only covers the direct cost of making them.

As of the accounting for 2021: the rising prices on -everything- have finally tipped the scale to make it so the already exorbitant prices on the stuff I make only cover the -exact- actual cost of making them.

b. I was offered a well-paying job driving around to remote mountain tops to fix research equipment.

I could either jack up the already ridiculously high prices, or take a job driving around the back country (With health benefits and vacation and holidays and retirement…etc.), I took the job driving around the back country. So, bye. This job lets me put my travel, off road driving, vehicle/equipment operation, navigation, AND design/maintenance/fabrication acumen to use for something that might actually help protect our public lands rather than just build you all stupid expensive shit for your toy trucks. Basically: I still get to design and build and problem solve, but also drive around to fire lookout sites.

As the icing on the situation cake: My own land cruiser is broken through all this and I didn’t have the funds for the parts to fix it.
So… if my land cruiser parts company cannot provide the funds to fix my own land cruiser, you can all fuck right off. :-p

If we are currently working on an order don’t worry- I’m still wrapping up existing projects and you are not getting charged anything different than what you are expecting.

And: I’m still going to make quite a few things- just not at their current prices. I do have a bunch of very expensive parts on hand still and I’ll certainly be using those up, especially for the flip windows. I’ll just need to figure out what to do about the prices since I’m not about to give away my time for free.
